How do you become part
of the OFF COLOR family

Just as we take breeding very seriously, we also take the placement of our dogs very seriously. Therefore, please read the following section before contacting us:

What do we expect from you?

All our animals are first and foremost family members. So when you buy a dog from us, we expect it to become part of your family, that you will give it the right training, that you can offer it sufficient living space and that you will take good care of it. We also expect you to fill out our questionnaire if you are seriously interested, so that we can get to know you better. We ask that you find a veterinarian who is familiar with giant breeds such as Great Danes if you do not already have one.

01.

OFF COLOR puppies are born and raised in our home and go to their new homes well socialized and habituated to their surroundings.

They are dewormed, have received all necessary vaccinations, a microchip, a complete veterinary examination, a health certificate, a pet passport, and ICR registration when they leave our home.

The parents are genetically and medically tested and have a stable, balanced temperament. They come from long-standing lines, some of which are champion lines.

02.

OFF COLOR puppies are always sold as pets, which means that every puppy is registered but may not be used for breeding.

Our contract also includes a return clause.

This means that the dog can only be returned to us.

03.

OFF COLOR Danes

are not bred according to designer colors or specific lines.

We breed for genetic diversity, striving for the original, classic Great Dane type with greater agility, health, longevity, and a balanced temperament.

However, we have no problem breaking the color standard in order to breed healthy dogs in colors that we like to see.

Was können Sie von uns erwarten?

Every OFF COLOR puppy has the same value, regardless of its color.

Based on calculable statistical litter probabilities, there are no particularly rare colors

that justify price differences within a litter.

This may mean that you will have to wait a little longer for a specific color if it is important to you. So if you are looking for something specific or would like to inquire, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The best way to reach us is by writing to us, as we are often on the road with the dogs.

What else?

We publish current photos and impressions on Instagram and Facebook, and we always keep our website up to date so that you can get a first impression of our animals.

However, you can only get a true picture of us as breeders through personal contact and your own experience with us.

Our participation in social media is purely informational, but we do offer our puppy buyers an internal page on our website where you can exchange ideas with others if you are interested and feel the need to do so.

In addition, you will receive weekly puppy updates (PUp-Dates) with lots of additional information during the first year.

Foster family program

From time to time, we place promising dogs with foster families. Whether as pets or breeding dogs, we believe that all our Great Danes should be part of a family. We want them to be happy, healthy, socialized, and trained so they can enjoy their lives to the fullest. Our foster family program helps us achieve our goals—both for the individual dogs and for our program. As a foster family, you will receive one of our dogs as a pet, but we retain ownership and breeding rights. Once the dog has completed its time in our program, we transfer full ownership to the family that cares for it.

We require that all our foster families:

  • Be familiar with the breed

  • Feed the dog according to our recommendations

  • Provide socialization and regular exercise

  • Practice behavior training

  • Have sufficient living space

  • Take responsibility for regular veterinary care

  • Have no other dogs of breeding age in the household

  • Share regular updates and pictures with us

  • Be willing to work closely and communicate with us

If So now you are interested in one of our puppies,
we offer two options:

1. the non-binding call-me list:

You leave your contact details and we will call/email you as soon as a litter is born in which there are still puppies available that have not been reserved in advance.

2. the binding reservation list:

You must follow the following three steps with us to make a binding reservation (even before a litter):

01.

Before a litter that interests you, it is very important to us to get in touch with you personally and for you to fill out our  questionaire

02.

When you visit us, ideally when we don't have any puppies, you can get to know the dogs and us.

And we can get to know you.

03.

After some time to consider and consult with us, you can decide on your desired litter and pay a reservation fee of €500.00.

You will be given a place in the ranking list in the order in which your payment is received.

If there is no suitable puppy for you in the advertised litter, the reservation fee can be transferred to another litter.

The reservation fee will be deducted from the price of a puppy and is non-refundable.
