What do we expect from you?

All of our animals are family members first. So when you buy a dog from us, we expect him to become a part of your family, that you give him the right education, that you can provide him with sufficient housing and that you take good care of him.  If you are seriously interested, we expect you to fill out our questionnaire so that we can get to know you better. We encourage you to find a veterinarian knowledgeable about giant breeds like the Great Dane if you don´t already have one.

What can you expect from us?

​

Our puppies are born and raised in our house and go home to you well socialized.

They will be dewormed, have all necessary vaccinations, microchipp, full veterinary exam, health certificate, pet passport and ICR registration when leaving us.

 

The parents are genetically and medically tested and have a stable nature. They descend from long standing lines, some of them also from champion lines.

Our sales contract contains a spay/neuter agreement and a return clause. 

​

OFF COLOR puppies are basically sold as pets, which means each pup is registered but may not be used for breeding.

​

We reserve the right to sell dogs with full breeding rights to recognized, well established breeding programs and leave the showing of the dogs to people who like that type of environment.

 

OFF COLOR Danes are not bred for designer colors or special lines. We breed according to genetic divergence - and strive for the original, classic Great Dane type with more agility, health, longevity and a firm nature.

Beyond that though, we have no problem breaking the color standard to breed colors we love to see.

 

Incidentally, with calculable, statistical litter probabilities, there are no particularly rare colors that justify price differences within a litter. Each of our puppies has the same value.

This may mean that you may have to wait a little longer for a particular color if it matters to you.

 

So if you are looking for something specific or would like to inquire, please do not hesitate to contact us. The best way to reach us is to write to us, since we are outdoors a lot with the dogs.

We publish current photos and impressions on Instagram and Facebook and we always keep our website up to date, so that you can get a first impression of our animals on this way. 

  

A picture of us as breeder can only come about through personal contact and the experience you have personally with us. 

 

Our participation in social media is purely for informational purposes, but we do offer our puppy buyers an internal page on our website where you can exchange information with others if you are interested and need it.

Guardian Home Program

​

From time to time we place one or the other promising dog with guardian families. Because whether as a pet or as a breeding dog, we believe that all of our Great Danes should be part of a family. We want them to be happy, healthy, socialized, educated and living their lives to the fullest. Our guardian home program helps us achieve our goals - both for the individual dogs and for our program. As a guardian family, you will receive one of our dogs as a pet, we retain ownership and breeding rights. Once the dog has completed its time in our program, we transfer full ownership to the family who care for it.

We require that all of our foster families:

​

- be familiar with the breed

- feed the dog according to our recommendations

- ensure socialization and regular exercise

- practice behavioral training

- have sufficient living space

- take responsibility for regular veterinary care

- have no other fertile dogs in the household

- live within 4 hours or less of us

- share regular updates and pictures with us

- show willingness to work closely and communicate with us
